After you have had an early breakfast, you will then head to the park Headquarters for a briefing on gorillas trekking, meet with your guides and be distributed into different trekking groups basing on your permit. After which you are to head into the Impenetrable forest and there you will come across different primates, birds and colored butterflies adding to a range of plant species.

Gorilla trekking needs one to be physically fit especially because of the hiking and prolonged walks that are done before one can actually come into contact with these gorillas. It’s somewhat wearisome however it is all the more memorable especially when you finally come into contact with these incredibly calm and gigantic Mountain Gorillas. You can observe these primates from a 5 meter distance as they feed and the juveniles play. The walking may possibly take something like 2 to 8 hours depending on how far the gorillas have moved. Mountain Gorillas can never be found living in zoos however there are just a few still surviving in the world. When gorilla tracking, you may decide on staying within the Bwindi area and get to meet the Batwa group of people or take a drive to the stunning Lake Bunyonyi found in Kabale and then unwind at the Arcadia Cottages or Heritage Lodge.

If you choose to stay around the Bwindi area, you will meet the Batwa people and see how they for even after a long time been able to depend and continue to exist entirely on the forest. You will be captivated by their exceptional way of living and the way they locally make their beer. You will also be kept amused by their traditional songs and dances. The little children are wonderful and inclusive of all this, you will surely make your travel experience a very unforgettable one.
